The first connect

Have you decided to try it out? Then get it started! For the first, pick out a MAUS near you and dial it with your terminal. As soon as the MAUS responds to your call the word CONNECT will be displayed on your screen. Then you'll be asked whether you are a registred user and whether you want to register. You should answer this with N for No for the time being. As soon as

< Weiter mit Leertaste (...) >

will be displayed on your screen (German for "Go on with space bar") press once the Esc key and, if the text above will be displayed again, another time the space bar.

After that you should be entering the main menu. From here you can go on by pressing the highlighted key characters (in ANSI mode). Logging out - that means leaving the mailbox and disconnecting - is possible everytime by simply pressing !.
